A favored choice by Native
Americans for their lodges as it is a species of tree that grows in dense
stands, which causes them to grow quickly in height yet remain small in
diameter. Because of this use, the first white settlers named this tree
the "Lodgepole" pine tree. The hard, stiff wood of the Lodgepole pine is
today used in construction lumber, fencing, railroad ties, and house
logs. |

In
striving to meet our
customers needs, we
now offer an
economical pole
option, Standard
Machined Lodgepoles.
These are the same
quality Lodgepoles
that the bark has
been removed by a
machine, making the
pole smoother
and more uniform. They
are less abrasive on
the canvas cover and
less likely to rub
or create wear
spots.
These poles
are
only available up to
the 27'
lengths. We
continue to offer
the original Hand
Peeled poles and
our high quality
Sanded & Oiled poles.
