Western Canvas offers poles made from genuine Lodgepole Pine, the most common conifer in the northern Rocky Mountains. The Lodgepole pine grows well in a variety of soil conditions and elevations. An opportunistic species, the Lodgepole pine grows best in full sunlight, and quickly repopulates areas laid bare by fires. They generally grow tall, to about 70 feet in height, and slender with a minimal amount of branches. Western Canvas ships 2 extra poles with every tipi incase of breakage.

In striving to meet our customers needs, we now offer an economical pole option, Standard Machined Lodgepoles. These are the same quality Lodgepoles that the bark has been removed by a machine,  making the pole smoother and more uniform. They are less abrasive on the canvas cover and less likely to rub or create wear spots.  These poles  are only available up to the  27' lengths.  We continue to offer the original Hand Peeled poles and our high quality Sanded & Oiled poles.
